Case Management - A case manager works in partnership with individuals to ensure that people receive services that facilitate their unique life paths and are linked with community resources that facilitate whole health wellness. Case Management Services are free of charge to individuals.

Community Based Services - Services in community settings designed to help participants meet their recovery goals while also pursuing employment, housing, education, social, and other goals.

Crisis Services - These services are available to anyone who contacts providers for emergency help. 

In-Patient Mental Health - In-Patient MH care is reserved for acute mental, emotional, and/or behavioral problems that cannot be treated safely on an outpatient basis. The purpose of hospitalization is to stabilize and discharge the individual to the community as soon as possible.

Out-Patient Mental Health - These services include individual, group, and family therapies, as well as medication management.

Youth - Resources for those under 18 years of age.

Substance Abuse - Includes providers who offer services for help with substance abuse.

​Centre County Mental Health identifies, evaluates, and refers adults and children/adolescents diagnosed with mental illness, behavioral health needs, or emotional disorders. We provide all levels of case management - Administrative Case Management (ACM) and Blended Case Management (BCM). Centre County Mental Health is a contracted provider of Targeted Case Management (TCM) under Behavioral Health Managed Care(Community Care Behavioral Health). Centre County MH works in conjunction with our ID, EI, and D&A partners. A case manager will work with you to ensure that you receive mental health services and supports and are linked to community resources available to assist you in your recovery. Case managers perform similar functions and vary in their frequency of contact. Individuals can work within the continuum of case management services depending on their level of need. Centre County MH provides Mental Health TCM Services (Blended Case Management) to eligible residents of Centre County. Individual recovery progress is reviewed on an on-going basis. The goal of these services is to enhance each individual’s independence within the community. Individuals are referred to external providers for other services. CVIM offers Integrated Behavioral Health Services (IBHS). We are a team made up of Primary Care Doctors, psychologist, consulting psychiatrist, Behavioral Health Case Management, and individual counselors. When a behavioral health referral is received from a PCP, an intake is conducted. Needs are identified and a plan of care is put in place. CVIM offers both telehealth and in-person depending on availability of individual counseling staff.

CSPs work together to present a voice in advocating, ensuring the proper array of services and supports are available and provided. Centre County NAMI Support Group is a support group for family members, and significant others for people with mental health conditions. Our group meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7pm via Zoom. ​Out of the Cold is a low barrier homeless shelter in State College. Our day shelter is open from 8 am to 7:30 pm. At our day shelter, guests can have a warm place to stay, take a shower, receive a meal and do laundry. Our night shelter is where guests can spend the night in a warm facility and have a warm meal.

The Parent Alliance supports parents in three ways:
